Michael Carter received his B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, where he actively served as the Vice President of the American Nuclear Society and was a member of the Nuclear Science Design Team. He went on to earn his J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where he participated in the Technological Innovation: Generating Economic Results (TI:GER) program. Michael is a dedicated legal professional with a diverse background in both legal and engineering fields. He served as a Legal Extern at NCR Corporation in Atlanta, GA, where he engaged in comprehensive research on legal topics such as employee patent assignments, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and Representations and Warranties Insurance. This role complemented his earlier experience as a Legal Intern at Columbia County Public Defender, where he was involved in criminal law research, client interviews, and courtroom observations. In addition to legal roles, Michael has a notable history in the engineering sector. At Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation, he worked as a nuclear fuel engineer. Here, Michael was instrumental in developing a time-saving fuel fabrication surveillance program, leading critical inspections, and managing fuel budget projections. With a unique blend of experiences, Michael brings a multifaceted perspective to his professional endeavors, reflecting a strong commitment to both legal practice and technical innovation.
