Lorena Gomez received her B.S. in Biology from Touro University, M.S. in Physiology from North Carolina State University, and her J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law, summa cum laude. While attending law school, Lorena served as the Notes & Comments Editor for the Science and Intellectual Property Law Review, and as a student practitioner in the Intellectual Property Legal Clinic, where she assisted clients with patent prosecution services and received a certificate of excellence for her participation. Lorena is the recipient of the 4th Annual 2022 HBCU Tech Law Summit Award.
Lorena’s industry experience includes a year-long internship at IBM where she conducted legal review of IP licenses, IP open-source contribution, and assisted in mergers and acquisitions.
Lorena is admitted to the North Carolina Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
