JT Marbut received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, cum laude, from North Carolina State University with a concentration in Renewable Electric Energy Systems and a minor in Business Administration. JT received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law with a certificate in Intellectual Property Law. As an undergraduate, he spent one summer at Doosan Portable Power analyzing component qualification and one summer at Hughes Network Systems developing a costing and configuration model. In law school, JT served as a teaching assistant for both the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Contracts and served as the Director of Finance for the Patent Law Forum. He is a member of the North Carolina Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. JT’s practice focuses on the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the electrical arts, including semiconductor devices and wireless communications systems and devices.
