New Managing Partner – David K. Purks

David K. Purks has been named the new Managing Partner of the firm. David Purks received his Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering and Bachelors Degree in Aerospace Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic University and his Juris Doctor Degree from Saint Louis University. He has been practicing patent law since 1994. David is a former Associate General Counsel with Ericsson Inc. where he was responsible for patent litigation, licensing, and patent prosecution. David is a member of the North Carolina Bar, the Colorado Bar, and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office; and is a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Prior to his legal career, David worked at McDonnell Douglas for over seven years where he developed electronic communication and guidance systems for aircraft. David focuses his practice on patent prosecution in the areas of software, telecommunications, electronics, and microelectronics, as well as client counseling of startup and medium-size technology companies.
