MYERS BIGEL RANKED IN TOP 10 FOR PATENT QUALITY IN USPTO TECH CENTER 1600
Myers Bigel has been ranked in the Top 10 in Patent Bots’ fourth annual Law Firm Patent Quality Rankings for United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Technology Center 1600. USPTO Technology Center 1600 covers the fields of biotechnology and organic chemistry, spanning subject matter such as organic compounds, molecular biology, plant biology, microbiology, immunology, and diagnostics. With a total of 94 patents issued in this Technology Center over the past year, Myers Bigel has secured a position among the 10 intellectual property firms having the lowest average number of errors in their issued biotechnology- and organic chemistry-related patents.
Patent quality rankings were generated using Patent Bots’ AI-powered automated patent proofreading tool, which reviewed the over 320,000 patents issued by the USPTO over the past year and assigned a quality score to each firm based on the average number of antecedent basis, numbering, and word support errors detected in their issued patents. The 10 firms having the highest patent quality scores were then chosen in each Technology Center.
Alongside its feature in The Chambers USA 2023 Guide and number one ranking in the Triangle Business Journal’s Patent Law Firms list, this most recent accolade is a further testament to Myers Bigel’s emphasis on exceptionally high-quality work and robust patent drafting.
