JT MARBUT JOINS MYERS BIGEL
Myers Bigel is pleased to announce JT Marbut has joined the firm’s award-winning legal team.
Marbut joined Myers Bigel with a practice focus in the preparation and prosecution of patent applications in the electrical arts, including semiconductor devices and wireless communications systems and devices. As an undergraduate, he spent time at Doosan Portable Power analyzing component qualification and at Hughes Network Systems developing a costing and configuration model. In law school, JT served as a teaching assistant for both the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and Contracts and served as the Director of Finance for the Patent Law Forum.
He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association.
JT received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering, cum laude, with a concentration in Renewable Electric Energy Systems, from North Carolina State University and a minor in Business Administration. He received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of New Hampshire Franklin Pierce School of Law with a certificate in Intellectual Property Law.
He joins a team of attorneys and patent agents emphasizing patent procurement in practice areas including electronics/computer, mechanical, trademark, chemical and biotechnology. The firm’s experience with domestic and international patents is vast, having successfully filed in practically every country in the world, drafting quality patents that cover the full scope of an invention and stand up to courtroom challenges.
