JOHN R. BUSER JOINS MYERS BIGEL

Myers Bigel is excited to announce that John R. Buser has joined the firm’s award-winning legal team, bringing a wealth of experience in Patent and Intellectual Property Law.

With over 25 years of experience, John has developed extensive expertise in patent drafting and prosecution, innovation management, clearance and infringement opinions, litigation support, and agreement preparation. His deep understanding of intellectual property strategy makes him a valuable asset in helping clients navigate complex legal and technological landscapes.

John holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from General Motors Institute (now Kettering University) and a J.D. from Wayne State University Law School. He specializes in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the electrical arts, with technological expertise spanning industries such as electric vehicles, wireless signaling and networking, digital rights management, power electronics, and computer networking standards, among others.

John is a member of the Michigan State Bar and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. While he is not registered to practice in North Carolina, his extensive knowledge and experience will enhance the firm’s ability to serve clients across a variety of intellectual property matters.

John joins a distinguished team of Patent Professionals dedicated to patent procurement across diverse practice areas, including electronics/computer, mechanical, trademark, chemical, and biotechnology. With extensive experience in both domestic and international patent law, Myers Bigel has successfully filed patents in nearly every country worldwide—drafting high-quality patents that not only cover the full scope of an invention but also withstand courtroom challenges.
