SAEED SEYFI JOINS MYERS BIGEL
Myers Bigel is pleased to announce Saeed Seyfi has joined the firm’s award-winning legal team as a Patent Agent.
Saeed has a diverse technical background in oil and gas refining, paint and resin, purification and separation of biomolecules, bioremediation, microbially influenced corrosion and microbial fuel cells. His research at Ohio University focused on the effect of inhibition of glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK-3) in apoptosis of ovarian cancer cells. He has also investigated the detection and mitigation of microbially influenced corrosion of sulfate reducing bacteria, a joint project between Institute for Corrosion and Multiphase Technology at Ohio University and Total. Saeed has also authored many ISI papers in different fields of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering. In addition to his research and publications, Saeed has been a lecturer in Chemical Engineering at Rubber Industries Engineering & Research Company in Tehran, Iran, focusing on the transport phenomena (heat, mass, and momentum).
He received B.S. in Chemical Engineering, with a focus in process engineering, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran; his M.S. in Biochemical Engineering, with a focus in Statistical Thermodynamics of biomolecules, from Isfahan University, Isfahan, Iran; and his M.S. in Patent Practice from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
Mr. Seyfi is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
He joins a team of attorneys and patent agents emphasizing patent procurement in practice areas including electronics/computer, mechanical, trademark, chemical and biotechnology. The firm’s experience with domestic and international patents is vast, having successfully filed in practically every country in the world, drafting quality patents that cover the full scope of an invention and stand up to courtroom challenges.
