Ken Sibley Headlining North Carolina Executive Roundtable May 9
Attorneys from Myers Bigel Sibley & Sajovec, P.A. (Myers Bigel) continue to share best practices in protecting innovations with a slate of high-profile speaking engagements and thought leadership this spring.
Such efforts are highlighted by noted patent attorney expert Ken Sibley headlining the North Carolina Executive Roundtable (NCER) May 9 at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary.
“While all of our attorneys continue to find success for our clients in crafting and defending patents in a number of industries, those in our Biotechnology and Litigation practice groups are becoming more and more sought-after for their expertise in dealing with changes in patent law, specifically those driven by the America Invents Act,” Managing Partner David Purks said.
The upcoming presentation by Ken Sibley comes on the heels of his participation in a panel discussion at the NC Biotechnology Center about the role of biotechnology in North Carolina’s future. Business North Carolina recently published an article on this event in its April issue which included Sibley’s thoughts on the need for biotech workers to have soft skills in building collaborations to address issues such as challenges in creating an intellectual property positions for inventors.
The NCER Roundtables focus on topical issues facing senior business managers today, providing a small forum moderated format to network, exchange ideas and share best practices.
“The May 9 roundtable is an excellent opportunity to share the top ten things every business executive should know about patents, including patent basics, perspective on both obtaining and enforcing patents, and some international considerations for protecting intellectual property,” Sibley explained.
